2017 Winewise Small Vignerons Championship Results
Sanguine Estate 2015 Cabernets and 2012 Estate (aka Inception) Shiraz just received fantastic results at the Winewise Small Vignerons Championships. To enter this championship the wine must have received a gold medal from regional or city wine shows in 2016/17. A total of 462 wines were entered so as you can imagine the competition was tough.
Only 10 cabernet blends achieved the highest score awarded of 4.5 stars (equivalent to 93 – 96/100 score) and our 2015 Cabernets was among them.
Here is our review
“Wall to wall flavour combined with firm tannins and a whiff of oak. A wine of distinction, with all the components required for successful cellaring. ($24.95 Buy Now) ★★★★☆”
In the Shiraz class over 80 gold medal winning Shiraz wines were tasted. Only 1 wine achieved 5 stars (97 to 100 scores) and 23 wines achieved 4.5 stars of which our 2012 Estate (aka Inception) Shiraz was one of them.
Here is our review:
“A supple blackberry/spice style that is just getting into its stride. Yet another top-class wine from Sanguine Estate. (Not available) ★★★★☆”
