10th to 11th September

Pruning back the vines over the winter is important to eliminate “the tangled mess” of the previous year’s vines and to reduce the available grape clusters for the upcoming season. Reducing the clusters improves the quality of the remaining grapes.   The burning of the canes is a winemaking tradition and we are hosting a lunch to celebrate within our barrel room that will feature our newest vintages that have just been released with Winemaker Mark.
