Heathcote on Show is our annual showcase of the wine, food and fun that Heathcote has to offer over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.  All the things you love and expect – a warm welcome, red wines, vertical tastings, long lunches and insightful masterclasses.

We look forward to welcoming you to our James Halliday Red 5 star rated winery. Taste our range of award winning wines in the comfort of our cosy Barrel Room, enjoy the vineyard views from our landscaped terrace and join award winning winemaker Mark Hunter and the Hunter family as we celebrate the best wine and food regional Victoria has to offer. Sanguine Estate will be open from 10am to 5pm every day over the long weekend and has planned the following exciting events for your enjoyment.

Trufflepig Catering & Events Gourmet 2 Course Lunch (Saturday & Sunday only)

We are thrilled to welcome back regional providores Trufflepig Catering & Events who have created a delicious seasonal menu to compliment our own Sanguine wines.


On Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June, treat yourself to the ultimate locavore’s feast presented by Shelley of Trufflepig Catering & Events. Their regional fare is designed with a focus on artisanal, ethical and organic principles.

High country chestnut & sage soup drizzled with extra virgin olive oil & crispy sage leaves (v)
Charcuterie platter with chicken & brandy pate, country cranberry & pistachio terrine, cornichon & small goods from Mcivor Farm Foods served with lavosh

“Coq au vin” of free-range chicken braised in red wine with mushrooms & pancetta served on a bed of soft polenta
Slow-cooked Warialda belted galloway osso bucco served on a bed of soft couscous topped with a lemon & pine nut gremolata 
Spanish-style chickpeas, paprika & spinach drizzled with extra virgin olive oil & lemon juice (v)
Kids Meal (Under 14)
Hand made tropical pizza with roasted passata, leg ham & pineapple
Booking times of 12.00pm, 12.30pm, 1.00pm, 1.30pm and 2.00pm

Early Bird Bookings are $40 per head for a 2 course meal and include a complimentary glass of wine to the value of $10.00.  Early bird booking close on Tuesday 6th June.

Walk In Meals on the day will be $45 per head for a 2 course meal and include a complimentary glass of wine to the value of $10.00 (meal selection not guaranteed for walk-in)

Kids meals are $12 per head and available for children under the age of 14.

Goldfields Farmhouse Cheese and Wine Matching Masterclass

Following the overwhelming success of our Cheese & Wine Masterclasses last year, we are very excited to welcome back Nardia from Goldfields Farmhouse Cheese – an artisan cheesemaker who is ready to introduce you to the world of wine and cheese matching.

Nardia along with Sanguine Estate’s winemaker Mark Hunter will guide guests through the perfect cheese matches for Heathcote wines, including a range of artisanal cheeses.

We haven’t forgotten the designated drivers on the Heathcote on Show weekend.  Debra from Just Bikkies & Tarts will be warming you up with coffee and home style treats just like your Nana used to make, 11am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday.

‘Bespoke Wine Tours’ FREE dedicated Sanguine shuttle bus. Leaving from Barrack St (beside National Australia Bank) to Sanguine and return.  Available from 10am and running every 30 mins over the weekend.
