Once again, over 30 food and wine businesses throughout the region will open their doors this Queen’s Birthday long weekend for Heathcote on Show and here at Sanguine Estate we are planning some exciting events for our guests.


We are thrilled to introduce regional providores Trufflepig Cetering & Events who have created a delicious seasonal menu to compliment our own Sanguine wines.

Trufflepig Catering & Events Gourmet 2 course Lunch (Saturday & Sunday only)

Our friends at Trufflepig Catering & Events have cooked up a 2 course winter feast to keep you warm at our 2016 Heathcote on Show celebration.

On Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June, treat yourself to the ultimate locavore’s feast presented by Shelley of Trufflepig Catering & Events. Their delicious regional fare is created by hand, with a focus on seasonal, ethical and organic principles.

Choose one of
Locally sourced chestnut & sage soup drizzled with extra virgin olive oil (v)
Sour dough bruschetta of sautéed winter swiss chard, garlic & currants topped with pine nuts (v)
Choose one of
Slow-cooked locally sourced osso bucco served on a bed of soft polenta topped with a lemon & pine nut gremolata (gf)
Hunter-style ‘cacciatora’ free-range chicken of tomato & black olives served on a bed of soft polenta sprinkled with italian parsley (gf)
Spanish-style chickpeas, paprika & spinach ‘espinacas con garbanzos’ drizzled with extra virgin olive oil & lemon juice, served with toasted garlic sour dough (v)

Prepaid meals $35 per head, or $40 per head if purchased on the day. All prepaid lunches include a complimentary glass of wine to the value of $10.00 (note the complimentary glass of wine offer is not available for meals purchased on the day).

 Plumm Glassware Masterclass (Sunday 12th June only)

Always a highlight of the weekend, Plumm Glassware will be back again to present their popular European crystal glassware masterclasses.

Be amazed at the difference a well designed glass can make to your wine enjoyment during this guided masterclass, presented by Plumm’s Niall Faber and featuring our very own Sanguine Wines.

Prepaid tickets $55 per head or $65 per head  if purchased on the day. Includes FREE take home Plumm gift worth $120.

Goldfields Farmhouse Cheese Masterclass (Saturday 11th June only)

Following the overwhelming success of our Cheese & Wine Masterclasses last year, we are very excited to welcome back Nardia from Goldfields Farmhouse Cheese – an artisan cheesemaker who is ready to introduce you to the world of wine and cheese matching.

Nardia along with Sanguine Estate’s winemaker Mark Hunter will guide guests through the perfect cheese matches for Heathcote wines, including a range of artisanal cheeses.

We haven’t forgotten the designated drivers on the Heathcote on Show weekend, Debra from Just Bikkies & Tarts will be warming you up with coffee and home style treats just like your Nana used to make, 12 to 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
