Click here for Part 1 to hear from Jodi Marsh (Sanguine Estate), Madeleine Marson (Vinea Marson) and Emily Kinsman (Armstead Estate).  We are certain there will be a part 3 with so many wonderful women in Heathcote so stay tuned.

Host: Jodi Marsh (Sanguine Estate)

Co-hosts:

India Munari is the Assistant Winemaker & General Manager at Munari Wines. Located in the prestigious region of Heathcote she has a passion to promote the region and is also a board member for Heathcote Tourism &
Development. Juggling day to day operations, marketing campaigns and making wine isn’t
as tough as it sounds when she’s doing something she loves. She also enjoys delivering easy to understand wine training in a fun and informal way and getting those new to wine engaged and excited.

In the past, after extensive training to become a Wine Ambassador for Pernod Ricard Winemakers she worked with well loved brands such as Jacob’s Creek, Stoneleigh & Campo Viejo and travelled the country providing product training to bar and wait staff, hosting wine dinners, consumer tasting, attending trade shows and delivering training programs.

Jess Dwyer: Farmer & The Scientist comprises Brian (the Farmer), Jess (the scientist) Dwyer and their two young children Charlie and Hadleigh (currently undecided career wise). Before those extra staff members came along, Brian and Jess worked in viticulture – Brian managing vineyards and Jess as a vineyard operator and cellar hand in a large winery whilst completing a science degree at night/weekends. Between working in Heathcote and the Barrossa the winemaking dream cemented itself.

In 2013 Farmer & The Scientist began farming a 20 acre vineyard and undertook its first vintage of handpicked, foot-stomped, hand-pressed, small-batch – and every other hand, foot, small, borrowed you can think of – Shiraz & Tempranillo. The vineyard was the comfortable, skilled space, the wines the journey. The size and range have since grown, utilising 6 grape varietals and offering 8 wines. Notable mentions include Top Class Awards for their Tempranillo & Shiraz, Double Gold for the Pinot Grigio, and Gold for the Barrel Select Shiraz.

Tracie Young commenced her career in Wine making in 2008 at the age of 45 with her husband – Peter (then 53) creating Silver Spoon Estate purchasing 100 acres of land with 1 acre under vine of Shiraz as a hobby. Intended to be a lifestyle property and something they could retire into at a later stage rapidly grew with the purchase of additional acreage transforming their hobby to a full time business. At the beginning, Tracie worked alongside her husband Peter (who at the time maintained corporate employment) on weekends planting new vineyards, building a winery, assistant winemaking and planning for growth. Since Peter has joined the business full time, Tracie has transitioned to marketing, Cellar Door, event management, and annually as vineyard dispatch manager and loving meeting people weekly sharing wine tastings with fellow wine lovers.
