    Declared an outstanding success by co-directors Chris Howlett and Howard Penny this years was the third Sanguine Estate Music Festival. "We are going from strength to strength and that is because of the Artists, the Audience, and the Hunter family" said Howard.

    .... I have attended many music festivals in various locations but never have I experienced anything that remotely compares with what was offered last weekend. We were treated to superb music, programming and performance. The acoustic in the barrel room was so very pleasing. Stunning location, generous hosts, thoughtful amenities and intimate spaces. Gorgeous wines, gourmet food. The personal involvement of so many members of the family added much to the enjoyment of all. Next year cant come soon enough.

    What better way to shake off those early winter chills than by indulging in a glass or two of Heathcote wine in the company of good friends and the winemakers themselves? Once again, over 30 food and wine businesses throughout the region will open their doors this Queen's Birthday long weekend for Heathcote on Show and here at Sanguine Estate we are planning some wonderful winter treats.

    Monsieur Pierre is returning with their delicious regional fare and this year are offering a gourmet Buffet (11am-3pm) which will include a variety of meat and salad dishes, dessert, tea and coffee. Prepaid tickets are $30 pp or $35 pp on the day

    Sanguine Wine Club Blending Session

    Our exclusive Wine Club Blending Session is back following a hugely successful 2013 event however this time we're offering it to existing Wine Club members first.

    The Sanguine Wine Club Shiraz blending session comprises:

    • A tutored session on how to blend an award winning shiraz
    • An opportunity for you to formulate your preferred wine blend and take home a 375ml bottle sample of it.


    • Your name will be placed on the back label of the Sanguine Wine Club Shiraz as a contributor to the blend
    • You’ll receive an allocation of 6 bottles of the Sanguine Wine Club Shiraz blend (with your name on the back label)
    • Once allocations of the Wine Club Shiraz have been finalised for the full membership, any left over will be offered to you first. (Many of our participants last year purchased extra Wine Club Shiraz - with their name on the back label of course - to give as gifts to family, friends and clients for Christmas)

    Rather than auctioning seats, this year tickets will be a set price of $275 per person. Due to the limited number of seats, you will need to get in quick to guarantee your place.

    You actually create the Sanguine Estate Wine Club Shiraz that we bottle for commercial sale.

    In this unique insight into the world of Sanguine Shiraz and over the course of an hour and a half, Mark will present you with a selection of wine samples extracted that morning from our barrels at the winery. He will then tutor you on how to blend an award winning wine taking into consideration the important role of tannins, oak, acid, fruit, depth, length and mouth feel so that you have all the tools necessary to formulate your very own wine blend. Mark will then take your creation along with other guests joining you in the session and formulate the most popular blend that will become the 2013 Sanguine Wine Club Shiraz.  For returning wine club blending session guests - we'll have a few tricks up our sleeves to challenge your palate's further.

    Wine and food aficionados will delight in this exclusive Annual Sanguine Estate event aimed at treating your senses to the finer things in life and sharing the experience with family and friends.

     Join the Hunter family and a star studded line up of experts at Gary Mehigan’s new restaurant venture “64 Sutton St” which will have just completed an exciting makeover just in time for this event. 

    The evening commences with a fun and educational Masterclass hosted by wine and glassware guru Matt Skinner (Author, TV personality, Wine Judge, Sommelier and writer for several Australian publications) and includes panellists; Dan Schwarz (Gary Mehigan’s Head Chef) as the food and wine matching expert and Sanguine Estate’s award winning winemaker Mark Hunter as the wine expert. 

    The topic for this years Masterclass is exploring the diverse styles of Australian Shiraz with each wine perfectly paired with a delectable canapé designed by MasterChef Gary Mehigan and Dan Schwarz.  Following the Masterclass, is a three course dinner inspired by Gary and Dan and perfectly paired to Sanguine’s other award winning wine varieties.   

    Tickets are $175 per person, and thanks to long time sponsors Plumm Glassware each guest will go home with a gift pack valued at $140, making this the best value dinner in town.
